Default Edelbrock runners with stock base and plenum

First of all, its hard to confirm if these parts actually match up? Can you use Edelbrock runners with stock base and plenum? Where the runners ever sold by themselves in catalog or did they come with the base always?
How much port matching needs to be done on either end?

As far as I can tell, Arizona Speed & Marine still sell runners. Edelbrock does not. SLP does not.

I would love to see a list of MPFI manifolds in current production.
Miniram by TPIS
Holley Stealth Ram
First Fuel Injection
Scoggin Dickey makes a base manifold that works with vortec heads.
Edelbrock ProfloXT
I guess you could put a GM Ramjet on there...
or a Holley single plane EFI manifold for that matter.

help me out here ppl

I wouldn't waste money on just doing the runners.. If your not doing runners, plenum, and intake manifold your still going to have a restriction in the system.. You can't get what you need from a stock manifold.. You need an Edelbrock intake manifold , high flow runners , and also have your plenum Mega ported. The intake on the C4 TPI was originally designed for a 305 chevy engine , not a 350 engine, so it's way to small to start with, that's why the engine is out of air at 5200 rpms.....WW

SLP runners. 5lbs each stock, 2.5lbs after porting.

Thank you WW, I've got my eye out for accel/edelbrock/tpis base manifolds but I'm afraid I will have to deal with what I've got for now and get the grinder out.

Edelbrock base. Had to build up the pads under the fuel rail stanchions so I could open up the ports wide enough. Still broke through in a few places.

op if youre good with a grinder go after the base theres plenty of gains to be had but it will take tons of time. Go from one end to the other

Don't they also have a process called "Extrude Honing" where they heat it up and pull a ball through the runners to enlarge them??...WW

I'm running the Edelbrock 3860 intake, the Accel High Flow runners , and a Mega ported plenum on my 383 stroker and it will pull to 6000 rpms. I did have to port the hell out of the runners and base.. I had "Mike Graycar" Mega port my plenum but he's out of business now....WW

Extrude hone looks really fantastic, but I was quoted $550 for just the lower manifold, $800 for TPI combination. They pump a liquid putty with an abrasive under extremely high pressure thru the ports, removes material and leaves a smooth finish.

What you may be thinking of would be to repair dents in runners or very slightly enlarge stock runners, you can take steel bearing ball and force it thru the runner. This is similar to how a brass music instrument is repaired.

No. Left about 2-1/2" on the intake manifold side. It did take a lot of time to do the base, runners and plenum. Extrude honing is the way to go if you have the cash. I wanted the experience so chose to port myself.
