Well I just took her to get gas since there was only 2 gallons of gas about a month and a half old in it. Most of it is working. LOL!!! Things needed attention...
1. Alternator fried on the way to the gas station. It was working at home showing 13.8 volts. Was working as I was driving showing 14.1 volts. Then whole damn car's electrical system shut off for a 1/2 second then came back. After that... alternator dead. 11.3 volts. Battery shows 12.23 volts when you put a multimeter on it. The rubber boot on the terminal on the alternator is totally melted. It wasn't before I left home. :)
2. Two rockers need adjustment
3. One headlight wouldn't come up.
4. Overdrive isn't coming on (ut oh, maybe i bumped the relay too hard).

God thinks its fun to kick you too Scorp.

That's what you get for being a top secret agent!  Those Bond, James Bond, gadgets are a little frustrating huh?
Scorp about the OD, this is basic and I'm sure you did it, the plug that actuates the OD(on mine) had 2 different slots that you could plug the connector into, one didn't do anything and one connected the circuit. I can't explain it very well
The slits on it look like this -l (that was a pathetic attempt at a visual, but....)2 slits perpendicular to each other, but anyways, I think that's how my OD got fried, the plug came undone. Just letting you know....
Mojo, I had a charger on it 2 hours becasue the solenoid was working but the starter wasn't turning over. Then I tried jump starting it.... then I figured something was up. It was... the wire on the starter was loose. Tightened it and she started under her own power. It just freaks me out that it WAS charging fine at home, then that freaky thing of the lights going out and on. :)

Felt damn good to be in it again though![QUOTE]

1. How's that happen?
2. Are you going to adjust the rockers with the engine running? How do you keep the oil not to spray all over the engine bay? How do you take the valve covers off and put it back with everything else in place? It took me a long time to put the valve cover on without the plenum/runner installed and still scratch the valve cover paint in several places:mad
Usually if something shorts out. I'm going to check and see if the terminal hit the housing in the daylight.

I'll do it running most likely yes. I have small clips that you clip onto the rockers over the pushrods to prevent oil splashing. As for the valve covers they just come off, I dunno. :)
AW yeah!!!!! So how quick did ya git to the gas station? :D

Glad to hear your work is finally paying off. I can't wait to see some picture of this whole thing, once the secrecy is over, of course. Somehow, I don't think the F-bodies will stand a chance
