They will both fit after you trim two tiny tabs off the outter edge of the battey tray. REALLY simple to do. The yellow one is a deep cycle battery. Better if you do not drive your car too often.
I have been thru several Optima Batteries. They are expensive and don't last any longer thatn a wet cell battery. Unless you need to mount it sideways or upside down, I would stick with a wet cell battery unless you can get better pricing on the Optima. JMHO
The Optima red top that I bought fit without any modifications to the battery tray. I haven't had the first problem out of it, but I haven't had it long enough to speak for it's lifespan.
I can say that several forum members who road race a lot have said that it's MUCH more durable than the traditional style battery. In high vibration environments such as that it's supposed to be worth every penny.
One of the main strengths of the Optima is that it uses AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology. If you use this type of battery it will not leak or spill and does not require any maintenance. This will keep your Corvette free from any acid spills or leaks. :D
Just about every major brand has an AGM model, so I would just shop around and get the best deal. :yesnod:
