What is this part?
What is this part (circled) and why does it "buzz" at me every 10 seconds or so when the key is turned to "run" but the motor is not started?
It's located at the right front corner, just ahead of the coolant overflow bottle.

Re: What is this part? (Scoob)
On my '89 there's one on the other side and it's the fuel vapor cannister and the solenoid beside it. There's nothing over there on mine, so it's just a pure guess. Maybe they moved it to the other side on the Z's?
Anyways, mine was doing about the same thing, buzzing and ticking, but that was because the ECM was fried and went wacky.

Crap! Last week they were in my soffit. I wondered where the displaced ones went.
FWIW, when I first turn the key to run I hear this buzz for about 3 seconds and then stop. Then it does its every 10 second short buzz thing.

It's part of your vaccuum system Scoob. And every ten seconds is to quick. You have a leak some place under your plenum.
