Hate to have to ask such a simple question but...Replacing leaking water pump - '87 C4. Want to relieve fuel pressure but fuse box doesn't match only fuse diagram I have (Haynes). What fuse do I pull?

If you don't run the engine for a few hours, fuel pressure should drop to where you won't get any significant amount of fuel draining when you disconnect the two fuel lines. If you wait overnight, you probably won't get any drain at all.
Just remember to not turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. Doing so will cause the fuel pump to run for 2-3 seconds and that will pressurize the line

That's another vote against the Haynes book! It's not much use for anything other than bird cage liner! The FSM (Factory Service/Shop Manual) is the book you need!
I don't have an '87, but isn't there a fuse labeled F.P.? Maybe on the bottom row?
The fuel pump fuse is a 10A fuse in the lower right of the fuse block. It's labeled "FR" on most or all (?) early C4's, I don't know why - I guess it's another "Corvette thing".
Thanks to all for the responses. Yep, there's a fuse "FR" on the bottom right. "Fuel relay" perhaps? Also, thanks for the input on not needing to relieve pressure. Since I just got back from two weeks in Scotland and the last time I started it was before I left, I assume I don't even need to pull the fuse. Thanks again. Great forum.
