Default Wheels-I had good luck

I have some older ZR-1 wheels that go on a 1990 Coupe. They looked terrible when I bought the car. Appeared stained, definatley flacking etc. I though it was a lost cause to even try to clean. So, I washed themas I washed the car, even tried some populer spray on and wash off types and still looked bad. Wouldnt get the stains out. Committed that i would just look arounf doe new wheels. Well I started looking and everything was too expensive.

last night I washed the vette and thought I would try Simple Green. Sprayed on and wiped with a clean rag. Low and behold.....clean as new. All the stains came off! Now I still have flacking etc but wheels look like new from a distance so this delayed my $1000 purchase for awhile. Give it a try!

Good Stuff isn't it. I used a # of different products to try and get the brake dust of my wheels. Nothing really worked but Simple Green stripped it right off without any damage to the aluminum. Now I am using it to carefully remove the AC compressor oil that has sprayed up on the underside of the hood over the years . So far, so good.
