Does any of the pop-up headlights work correctly that chevy built!? I turn on my lights and sometimes there up or sometimes just one is up amd jittering for a few minutes. The ALWAYS make a clicking noise even when I go from turning off my parking lights. Do I need to replace the motors? I mean they are getting the headlight up sometimes. Seems to me that they would go out completly. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Does any of the pop-up headlights work correctly that chevy built!? -- It depends on how old they are...but they all break after a while.
Do I need to replace the motors -- Probably not. From what you described the motors are running. It sounds like the nylon bushings and/or gears are gone. Rip the old gears and bushings out replace them with the brass gears you'll be up and running.

Check the MAD catalog. There is a repair kit with the bushings.
I just yesterday, as a matter of fact, fixed my 92 from doing the exact same thing. As stated above, it sounds like your motors are fine, what happens, is the center of the plastic gear is packed in a hard gel from the factory around the drive spindle. After time the gel dries out and eventually breaks up into dust like particals. When I took mine apart it just all fell out on the ground. You can purchase the "Delrin" bushing kit for around 5.00 per head light to fix it, however I didn't want to wait on the shipping, so I went to "Lowes" and purchased some "nylon spacers" for a 1.50. Works flawlessly.
There is a slim chance that your plastic gears themselves are stripped, in which case you will need to replace them. But, usually the gel breaks up way before the gears strip.

But order two kits and do both of them at the same time!!!
Or you can do the less than $3 fix for bad bushings. I wound up doing that on my passenger side because I wasn't smart enough to order two kits earlier this year.
