I am interested in wrapping my hood on my C4. I'd also wrap the targa top and rear wing (aftermarket).
My question is regarding the hood though. The vinyl wraps only come in 5 ft widths. My hood is clearly larger than that. So, my creative juices got thinking, maybe wrap my hood with a racing stripe in the middle, therefore not requiring more than 5 ft to wrap the hood with one solid sheet.
Do you overlap the 2 vinyl wraps or will a seam show?
From my experience, most wraps will be printed. So any stripes would be printed, rather than using two different colored pieces of vinyl - instead, they'll use a single sheet. Some printers can do 7ft wide panels. Plus, when they overlap two panels, they actually over lap them to prevent the paint from showing through beneath if the vinyl stretches. So you would see the seem.
If I were you, I'd do some shopping around and see if you can find anybody that can do a wrap that 60" wide or more per panel. There are printers here in the Vegas area that can print on 7 foot wide panels - which would be perfect for what what you're looking to do.
