Still having high idle while coasting...
What happens is that as I approach a stop and put the clutch in and the RPMs stay up near 1400 until the car comes to a complete stop, then the RPMs come down to a normal idle. Lately, it has gotten worse and the RPMs are closer to 2000.
I have cleaned out the throttle-body thoroughly and everything else seems to run perfectly. Also, the butterfly valve is not loose in the throttle body.
Does anyone know what to do to fix it? I just can't seem to figure it out and I have looked at a lot of the archives on this site and no one seems to have a solution.
PLEASE HELP!!!

Could I have a bad sensor down there?
How about the computer code used to program the ECM? Is that something that I could get my hands on? Then I could figure out why it may be linked to vehicle movement?
the IAC control's idle, but when you step on the gas the IAC tends to open up more.
once you let off the gas it goes back to normal but a little slowly sometimes.
you may have a IAC going out (getting lazy).
also, the A/C plays a part in this too (higher idle when the pump is on) you probably knew that, what you may not know is, when the defrost is selected the A/C pump cycles on and off (this is to keep the A/C system lubed in the winter time). so if you've got it on defrost that will effect the idle too.
Thanks for the reply. Kinda normal - probably. What I recall it that when I used to put the clutch in, the rpms would drift back to idle, but currently they stay at 1400 (or 2000, depending on the day) for as long as it takes for the car to come to a complete stop) could be 30 seconds sometimes!
Certainly could be a "lazy" IAC. Maybe I'll pop a new one in. It looks like a simple part so it may not be too costly. Thanks.
