Default does this timing set look right?

hi guys, i had a post here:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?&id=397310&postid=4176494#417 6494
that discussed the problems my car has been having, i pulled it apart again to check the timing chain, and it looks like this:

does this look ok? as far as i can tell it's perfect. I also compared the cam gear that's on there to the stock gear, and the teeth and timing marks are identical.

So if this timing is good...what should i look for next. I looked at the new coil wire yesterday (Taylor Spiro Pro's) and the resistance was about .33Kohm...is that right? my old coil wire had resitance of about 2-3k.

Thanks for the help again!!

Is your #6 piston at TDC right now? It should be for how the timing marks are orientated right now.

*edit*

That looks like the cloyes true roller set I had. Is it? If so what keyway did you install the crank sprocket on?

actually, i never changed the crank gear, just the cam gear, i just bought a cheap timing SBC set to last until i swap cams and such...i only have 40k miles so i think the crank gear should be fine for a while...

how do i check which piston is at TDC?

Ok sorry, nevermind. Now I see there isn't a second set of teeth like the cloyes. Well you could pull the sparkplug from #6 and pull the battery wire (pink wire on the distributor) so that it won't start. Put your finger over the sparkplug hole and have somebody bump the starter. When you feel compression the pistion is coming up to the firing position (TDC). If you can easily get your balancer onto the crank just enough to watch it you want to watch the timing mark on it. When the timing mark is at about 1:30 o'clock one of 2 things is going on. Either #1 or #6 is at TDC, you have to figure out which one.

Yup, if you just wanna see things moving around.

Konroh,
Yes, the cam is synchronized w/ the crank properly. Whether it is cyl 1 or 6, only matters when you synch up the ignition.

i was just figuring that the timing light could help me see what's going on with the timing while it is running...i was thinking the timing was really retarded, but now i am not sure...
