My 95 vette won't start and the popular theory is either a bad battery or a bad ground. Sounds easy enough just take out the battery have it checked and look for loose ground wires. WRONG! I can't figuer out how to get the battery out!
Any Ideas?

remove the three screws from the wheel well, remove the screw on top of the gill panel.
If you look between the crack where the gill meets the rocker panel, you can see a bolt there. Just loosen it, do not remove it.
Now you can remove the gill panel and get to the battery.
Don't have any pics to show, but it's a fairly easy job.

Been there, done that! and also what Mr. Mojo & the others said.
Two years ago on Halloween night my battery died completely as I was driving home from work. I had just read on the Forum the procedure for changing the battery ... wow, what timing.
Anyway, I changed the battery out in a short amount of time (I had coasted into someone's front yard) with my wife holding a flashlight & tools and with all the "lil grabber" trick or treaters going by. Interesting memory, to say the least.
Welcome to the Forum ... not only is it addictive but you will find an entire host of "experts" here who can help you out in ways you never thought of.

Uh... don't believe any of the replies... you can't change a battery in a Corvette.. you have to throw the car away and buy another one!!!
(just kidding!!...) But.. I remember seeing (I think on the Corvette Fever website) a step by step procedure with photos that shows the procedure. It was one of the first repairs I ever had to make on my car too, and I was astonished to learn body panel removal was required. I still wonder why they didn't put it behind the driver's seat like they did on C3s.

sheesh I thought experts got paid for their wisdom so I must be an ameteur.
Hey... experts and professionals in all walks of life and professions will often donate their time, knowledge and resources for the benefit of the less fortunate... It's sometimes referred to or considered to be... charity... humanity... caring... sympathy... empathy... kindness... sharing and generosity....
I don't know what an 'ameteur' is, but it must be someone without those characteristics or qualities... However, an 'amateur' is one who engages in a pursuit, study, science or sport as a pastime rather than as a profession or one who lacks experience and competence. But sometimes even amateurs will volunteer time, resources, or even their limited knowledge to either aid another or to add to their own knowledge and/or gain experience.
