replacing bose speakers?
I want to replace the stock bose speakers on my 87 coupe. My amp is bad on the front left speaker, so I am going to use it as an excuse to upgrade the whole system. I have some 6x9s for the back, but nothing for the front. Are there any companies that make speakers that are the same size as the little ones in the door? If not, how hard is it going to be to get some standard size speakers to fit? I would prefer to have components in the front. Thanks in advance!

Just use a piece of plywood...make the plywood an inch bigger then the existing hole on the door...cut a hole in the plywood for the speakers. Attach the speakers to the ply and screw the ply to the inside of the door...put the old covers over it...
