1986 4+3 how to fix the shift linkage
The shift is inconsistent.Sometimes I can't get it in 1st,then it won't go into 3rd and 1st is ok.Now 3rd and 4th are having issues.Is there an easy way to adjust the linkage?

Go down to post #8, I put the procedures out of a 86 FSM there.
If you haven't got a FSM, get one. It will save you a lot of time and money working on your car.
