trying to figure out ignition issues now on the '96 I got, would give anything to go back to carb and HEI distributor.....I know how to fix those.......cheap.

Sounds fuel pressure related... is the FPR in good working order? Fuel filter? Fuel pump? Fuel pressure itself up to specs? Original injectors?
