Hello fellow corvette lovers,
I have a 1992 c4 where the a/c will quit blowing cold and tha a/c light blinks on and off. If I disconnect the battery, totally killing power to the car, then reconnect it. The a/c will work fine for awhile
Could be minutes, hours , or days. Then it does it again. I then have to disconnect the battery agian....
Does anybody have any ideas what this could be? Any help is greatly appreciated
Is this the C60 (manual) or C68 (automatic) controls? Since it blinks, I am assuming that it is the C68. What it sounds like, is that the head unit needs servicing (like a capacitor failing). See here: http://www.batee.com/corvette/dcrg/9096_hvac/

To save you some time when resetting...try disconnecting the A/C controller 5 Amp fuse in the fuse box. That is how I reset mine after changing the pressure switch and recharging.
Sounds the same as my problem a guy named Keith on forum gave me a link to batee.com for a repair kit for the a.c. programmer for the c68 digital climate control. I am going to buy that and fix it myself. I hope this helps..
