GM stopped recommending the use of the brown sealing tabs some years ago.Do the flush and refill with a good quality anti-freeze in a 50-50 mix. Run the engine to operating temp and check for any leaks. If you haven't replaced all of the coolant hoses and pressure cap in the last 5-7 years, it might be a good idea to replace them at the same time.

Cadillac recommended 6 tabs in aluminum V8s. 2 in everything else. The Cadillac V8 design allows for many areas for possible internal and external leaks. The 6 tabs don't clog radiator or heater core.
