Default Odo Err on my 91?

I have the Odo Err displayed in my cluster. If I drive the car will the ccm count the miles or will it stay at whatever mileage it's currently in?

Did you ever correct your RUN problem so you can actually drive the car?

Does TRIP ODO function or do you still have the same display?

Have you done any CCM diagnostics or just assumed you've a failed CCM? Does the speedo work?

I believe it does function I don't think I've messed with it. I just got the car and once I hooked a battery to it I noticed that odo err displayed. I bought the car from the original owner and he claims it displayed the mileage before he let it sit. I don't know if the speedo works since the car is not running yet.

I believe you solve the run & drive issue first!

Since the ODO is CCM controlled and you've a RUN issue have you done any CCM code value checks. Maybe there's a FUEL ENABLE issue.

Do you have the FSM?

Well I figured out recently that I have 4 bad injectors so once those get here I'll see if it runs. I did check the codes and I only had the c12 which I heard was no codes. And once it was running through the diagnostics check it showed err on section 7

Hey, WVZ-R1. I finally got the car running yesterday and the speedo does work, but I'm still getting the Odo Err on the display.

I believe it's safe to assume you need a CCM - I've no idea if a Tech1 would retrieve the current odometer reading if you used it but it might be worth the effort.

Where are you located?

If you purchased a confirmed '91 by part# you could expect these issues, displaying the mileage of the car it came from and also if ever scanned it would show the VIN of the car it was removed from. There's no way for an end user to "easily" change the VIN and odometer of a used CCM.

You never mentioned if TRIP worked. I'd expect NOT but it would be interesting. Does it?

Could there be an issue in the DIC to cluster communication - maybe!!

I'm located in Dallas, Tx. How can I check if the trip works?

When I press the TRIP ODO, FUEL, and TRIP they're not doing anything to the gauge. I haven't driven the car so don't know if that has something to do with it
