High Beam Switch and Cruise Control

High Beam Switch and Cruise Control
'94 C4 Convertible...I have no high beams or cruise contro. Could both of these issues be related to bad switches for both in the Turn Signal stalk or steering column ?

Most likely the high beams is just the switch adjustment. The switch is near the bottom of the steering column. The turn signal lever actuates a rod that runs to the switch. Over time the switch can slip. You can loosen the screws and move the switch.
The cruise control switching is in the stalk and plugs into the harness for the washer switch, but doesn't use any of the mechanics of the washer switch.

Now that is some useful info.
The dimmer switch on the car that I just bought doesn't work. I figured the switch was spent. I just went out to the garage to have a look under the column and there is a cover over mine so I couldn't see it (I'll take it apart this weekend and have a look)
While I was down there, I found a rocker switch on the lower front of the seat. The side bolsters have been bugging me since I got the car...not any more. That's what that switch controls.....so thanks, twice.

Here's what you should see.
If the switch slips forward far enough the rod can come out of the switch and your either stuck in high or low beam. If it only moves a little you can pull the lever and get high beams but can't keep them on.
You can see the switch has elongated holes to allow adjustment.
The picture is from Gear Jammers column rebuild thread. I just added the markings

See if your fogs lights work.
If the answer is no, then suspect both headlights are bad.
The cruise switch is a high failure rate part, I would start my diag there.
