The street/strip trans will be the one that chirps the tires going into second. The heavy duty one will have a more firm shift than stock but won't usually chirp the tires :seeya
Thanks vettemech, you were right about changing the shift linkage seal on the weekend so I have a whole day to clean the oil pan :rolleyes:. The horizontal shaft was pretty hard to take out and the 1/4 stud with a few washers help:).
It took me a month before I get up the courage to venture inside the transmission. The most I ever did was chanhed the trans. oil and replaced the filter.
Haven't drive the car much since it still need wheel alignment (Steering rack changed) and inspection and replace the heater core. The car has been sitting on the drive way almost two years now.
