Default Coolant temp sensor in the head confusion

So I'm lost lmfao... as you can see the sensor I have in the head is a 2pin sensor while I am only able to find 1 wire in the loom to go to it, and I've followed it up a good portion trying to see if I have a ripped wire up the loom, but I'm at the point where I'm guessing maybe the sensor in the head is suppose to be a 1pin? Where am I going wrong here hahaha!

Thanks!

The green wire is for the temp gauge in the cluster and has a different 1-wire connector.
Figured as much, So the current sensor I have goes in the waterpump, and I need a new 1pin sensor or just a different connector?

Remove the connector from the switch and let's look at the sender! What brand and part# sender did you buy? Later sender appear as a 2 pin but are actually used a a single pin. If you bought that sender you only need a correct connector.

From previous posts it appears you have a later C4 and it would actually use the 'newer' configuration.

While it might be safe to 'assume' you've bought incorrect sender it would be wise to check first.

What year is your C4?

In this thread if your sender appears like the 3d image you've got a correct sender likely and just need a correct connector.

That is an incorrect sender an appears to be for the ECM/PCM. Look at the thread I mentioned and choose whichever sender you prefer to use and buy sender and connector.

Buy local!! Take the GM# I mention in the linked thread to most any auto parts store and use as a reference. Most should have it. Dorman or others are generally lesser quality than OE. PT728 is the ACD equivalent.

Here's a comparison link @ Summit

Your link took me to what the OP has currently and NOT what he was interested in. I don't know if there's AutoZone in Canada or not so I only mentioned 'LOCAL'.

Both are 1 wire and they look like they fit. Maybe?
