ICM maintenance
I have a 1996 base coupe with 33K miles. I am retired so I love to do maintenance. I saw a post a while ago where someone removed the ICM just to clean the heat sink grease, re grease and reinstall. Is this something that should be done as a maintenance item? I have never pulled it so I have no idea what shape the original grease is in. Thank You, Dan

If you are that bored just get everything very clean and be sure to use heat sink compound rather than 'grease'. Something more useful would be to clean plugs and sockets with contact cleaner and grease lightly with dielectric grease to keep moisture out along with cleaning grounding points battery terminals flushing cooling system brakes etc.
