Backup Lamp Switch

Is this switch a dealer part or can I get it at the local parts store? TIA

I would try the local parts house... the worse they can do is say no..

Interesting... gotta replace one of these in my son's '92 A4 Coupe - ordered it today from GM dealer - $22.50 was the price quoted.

Well, according to the 1992 GM service manual, my (A4) automatic transmission NS/BU lamp switch is located in the center console, bolted onto the right side of the shifter assembly. The (ZF) manual transmission shows the backup lamp switch mounted externally to the transmission above and to the left of the drain plug.

Considering the size of the two switches and the A4 switch does double-duty as a Neutral Safefty switch, I'm VERY surprised my switch costs half of what your does... :crazy:
