Welcome! What are you trying to accomplish by putting a C5 power steering rack in it?

Without changing the whole front end geometry, a C5 rack will not fit an 86 Corvette. If your factory rack is in need of repair, we can rebuild it and return it to factory specs.

There are 2 different types of C4 racks: base and Z51. They do interchange and the Z51 is a faster ratio. I find the faster one with urethane aftermarket mounts is my favorite.

The cost of a C4 rack rebuild starts at $250, C5/C6 rack rebuilds start at $300. If any hard parts need to be repaired or replaced then the cost would go up accordingly. Turn around time is roughly 2 weeks.

Thanks,
Junior

Yes, we can do that for you. Give us a call email or PM, and we can discuss it further.

Thanks,
Junior

Turnone did mine, Jr was very helpful to answer all of my questions.

My rack is pretty much just the original shell with new everything inside (early rack issues), i love it now.
Coupled that turn one rack with a 94 steering shaft and the car is just fantastic!
Total confidence well over 100mph...

Also my rack had the classic "morning sickness", required the rack to be bored and sleeved.
basically the worst sinerio...
I believe with shipping to and from, and the full service it was right about $550 iirc...

i have a Z51/2.0 ratio that i wanted to keep, well worth the price, and the steering is still perfect 2+ years later and some very hard driving.

I did the job in my 93 Z28.... but not a Vette..... I understand its pretty involved.... I have a tad bit of the morning sickness thing and I know I'll need to do it sooner or later....
