Default Do it right or quick?

Can anyone tell me the proper type of screw to put into the hush panel under the steering wheel? When I took it down there were about 4 different screws in there. I talked to Corvette Central and Zip no one seems to have those in their interior screw kits. Thanks in advance.

Message WVZR-1 if no one responds. He seems to know more about these sorts of detail items then anyone here on the forum, and everywhere else for that matter ...

There are 4, 7mm screws on the bottom that face your knees. And there are 2, T-15 star screws on the left side toward the door that are kind of hidden in the material. (All screws are recessed.)

GM has used the same screws to retain dash trim for years, regardless of model. A trip to a "You Pull It" yard is a good source for the thrifty.

It looks like MidAmerica is still selling interior screw kits. It probably has the correct screws you need, plus I believe they all come labeled for what area they are used in.

If you have any correct ones this is one time a trip to a GM dealer with a friendly parts department is your friend. I needed a half dozen different screws and they had them in bulk and just gave me what I needed. Even if double the price it is cheaper than shipping if just this one small job and can have them right now.
