How many others on the thread have installed the H pipe?

I have a set of Allen's chambered deletes waiting to be installed on my car. I am debating the H pipe. Where did you place the H pipe in your system? Can you describe what you mean when you say it evens out the sound? thx

Just finished installing my new muffler eliminators on my 92, I really like them everything You guys said they would be, mine are from ecklers with the factory lt1 tips, easy install look and fit great, now it sounds like a corvette should, mine has no popping on deacceleration, Thanks Guys for your help and info.

Not trying to hijack thread, but
is there an advantage to ordering pre fabbed deletes over having a muffler shop remove mufflers and bend new pipe in their place?

The advantage is that pre-fabbed deletes can have "chambering" built into them as my "Allens" deletes have. This gives a better sound in my opinion. Also the stainless steel tips are installed ahead of time. These additions cost about twice the cost of plain bent pipes at a muffler shop.

The install took about an hour, measured sawsall the old mufflers off, they came with big clamps, i snugged them down drove it came back home and welded them , I knew they werent coming back off lol.

Glad I did it!
I just did the muffler delete mod on my '92 LT1 6-speed Coupe. I had straight pipes welded in by my local muffler shop, and the best part is they had an extra set of stock LT1 tips they threw in for free. That way if I ever decide to go back to the stock mufflers, I can have the old mufflers/tips welded right back on.
The sound is much louder but it sounds like a Corvette should sound. I have a fair amount of droning on the freeway at 65mph in 6th gear, but it largely goes away at higher speeds.
On deceleration, I get a series of rumbles, pops, woofs, and burbles that sound fantastic.
I call it my "Budget Borla" mod.
