Yes but how is it different than Kwik Trip or Costco who are ALSO top tier?
I'm pretty sure it is very different.
I don't know where Kwik Trip and Costco buys their gasoline from but, I do know that those two gasolines do not have the same additives that Chevron puts in their gasoline. If Kwik Trip and Costco bought their gasoline from Chevron, it wouldn't be as cheap as they sell it to their customers than Chevron does. Chevron will not put the same additives in the gasoline they sell wholesale and if they did the Kwik Trips and the Costcos of the world wouldn't be selling their gasoline for the prices they do sell their gasoline for.
The additives that Chevron puts in their gasoline is very expensive and that is why the Chevron gasoline is usually higher than the other brands.

From my reading I think we all have the same base stock and we add different additives after we take delivery. AFAIK, all gas starts out the same. What makes the difference is what additives are put in. Obviously there is a minimum amount you have to put in for EPA Compliance. If you buy yourself a membership in the Top Tier group, you will need to go above EPA Compliance Level to meet their level to be in the club. I've seen the claims from said club that it helps to have more additives. Again, the assumption some is good, more is better. On top of that, we have people thinking that some is good, more is better and adding even more is even better.
What I have yet to see is what the maximum effective dose of any of the additives are, how much it costs and how much it will save me and how far out.
For example, they calculated that in diesel fuel, you need more lubricant to prolong injectors. Using what Bosch says, we can see how it can help However, over time, what you save in extended injector life, you spend more in daily use of the snake oil. In short, I am saving $500 in wear by spending $1000. So did I save anything by buying $1000 worth of additives over say 200k miles? Absolutely Did the savings justify the cost? I think not. However it is spread out over a long time since the pinch you feel is a lot less than if you bought all the addictive for 200k miles.
I have to have the chip reprogrammed either way cause i am going to egr delete it the air system is already off of it and to have the vats disabled. I do want to upgrade the engine a ways its this is my fun car. But trying to figure out what was done and not done just to get it back on the road to enjoy and upgrade as i go. But i know the injectors that was installed was put in around oct-nov of last year before the car was place in a garage for the winter. It would be nice to have the stock tb to test out and see what in the world is going on but i am going to take it to the speed shop this weekend to pin point what is going on but like i said i was hoping someone on the forum has ran or does run this tb to see what they think about or dislike about to maybe get some idea before ripping into it and just start replacing parts that dont need replacing.
TB and injectors are not something that needs replacing without data or a better description of what is happening.
My Actron Elite Autoscanner works just fine on my car. I only bought it a couple years ago. Can easily find one on ebay if the store doesn't sell one.
All it needs is an OBD1 adapter.
I'll check again soon. Don't know which model but it didn't work. Supposedly the latest one may or may not according to tech support since they only list up to 96. Did it scan data or just codes? I did have the OBD1 adapter and all it did was give me codes but no data stream.
Don't know if I want to buy this off ebay since there is no refund if it doesn't work. I'll probably get the CP9690 version off Advance Auto and return it if it doesn't work.
Guess I will have to try their CP9696 since the older one I tried didn't work and when I called, same song. "Too old to support". If I am reading it right, it won't graph anything older than 96 but it supposedly might read the data and it comes with the cable.
