I did a 4L80E swap on my car last year and am trying to determine if my transmission adapter is causing my drivers side header to be closer to the footwell than the passenger side. The difference is about an inch. When i disconnect the trans from the C-beam, which i would think would allow the trans/engine to return to their "normal" positions, the difference remains about the same. Do TPIS headers naturally run closer to the drivers side? The reason is I want to V-band the exhaust at the header to make it seal, and the V-band clamp will not clear the footwell without contacting the floor pan
Wondering if i twisted a motor mount somehow, or something else is causing it to be offset. See pic below.
Thoughts?

Yes my headers have small flat spots on the bottom of them, from a muffler shop tightening the flying **** out of some band clamps trying to make them seal. Lol

I would get the headers hot without the y-pipe and with a prybar on the drivers side, move the collector over a half inch. You can protect the fiberglass with a 1/4" piece of plywood. On the passenger side, with your shoes, move the collector toward the outside a half inch. This will center the exhaust. The pipes really aren't that hard to massage.
There was some issue with fitting the TPiS Y pipe on it originally on one side, required a few taps from a mallet, but I don't recall any others. I eventually had a custom dual setup welded in and ditched the Y.

I did the same thing. The Y pipe sucks. I welded 3 bolt flanges to the headers.
Do any of your headers look like mine? With the driver's side closer to the footwell than the passenger?
Mine were actually the other way. My passenger side was closer. I ran the car and gently massaged it over to make it even. The Y pipe wasn't even close. It barely made it on the passenger side with the band clamp. The headers are great and the performance is worth the install.

This was my next thought was to just bend them a bit. Thanks for your input
If you can't get them to bend as 383vett suggested (red hot with fast idle? Really? IDK....), there's got to be a local exhaust shop that will heat/bend for you.
FWIW...exhaust shops just use oxy to heat/bend
Edit: OK...OK....Gotta say it....If MY exhaust got red-hot at fast idle, I'd be checking mixture and/or timing (retarded).

I'm going to attempt to bend these bitches tomorrow. I need to be careful not to bend too much because where the headers are right now allows for perfect pipe fitment in terms of trans clearance. By moving them to the right I will definitely have to clearance the drivers side pipe to clear the pan of the 4L80E. Shouldn't be too big of an issue
Nobody said red hot. The headers get hot very fast with the car running. If you hit them with a torch it should only be for a few seconds. I don't know if that would ruin the ceramic coating. Just take your time.
