my stock 96 ce lt1 had a very intermittent noise from the right rear wheel. i checked the suspension, wheel bearing and finally the brakes, after a louder noise at my first drag strip night. see time slip. i pulled the pads and found this very uneven wear.

got new pads and caliper pins from napa and installed but one pin would not go into the bracket hole all the way

i couldnt get a good picture but the pin bore had a ridge in it. the pin had this wear on it

shiny spot near bottom

ordered a reman bracket from amazon. dealer says all 84-96 rear caliper brackets are the same. anyone know differently?
