Default service eng soon
had egr valve and egr solenoid replaced. driving down road about 5 miles after replacing items service eng light came on again

What code is in it? Running issues? Why where those parts replaced?

the mech who checked the car out said the code said these parts were bad

What year? Here's a link on how to read the codes yourself. No scan tool needed, just a paper clip.

We have some ideas but less data than the mechanic that threw parts at it. What year is it? What exhaust system is on it, stock or aftermarket? Any other mods? It could be as simple as a vacuum hose or as big as a clogged EGR passage, IF its the same code as before.
