Noise From Under Car??
I've got a rattling/banging noise from under my car when I rev the engine at a stop. Sounds almost like a loose heat shield, but bigger (more massive)... Doesn't do it all the time, only when revved. Any ideas??
I know it's hard to describe sounds, etc. over the net, but any instances of heat shields, etc. coming loose on 96's? Thanks. :seeya

Have your cats checked. Sounds like one may be breaking up and rattling.
That's what mine sounded like just before they started "chunking" out the tailpipes :lol:

I had a similar situation and thought it was cats but the previous owner then informed me there weren't any. After months of troubleshooting what it finally turned out to be was the shackles that bolt to the frame to hold down the sway bar had loosed up. We figured that out with a sand mallet and patience. Just a possibility.
