With that gear, and engine mods, I'd think the Mini ram would be a win...but what do you use the car for?
It’s a weekend only car. I want to take it to the strip one day but there is nothing close by. I’ve had the car since the late 80’s and liked everything about it except the performance. As I got older I started fixing the issue
As a weekend driver (on the street), IDK if a mini ram is going to improve the perception of power. It will raise your RPM range...but it probably won't improve tq which is what you "feel" when you drive around.
If you were going to the track, I'd say Mini ram for sure. Street? IDK. Perhaps some other Miniram users will chime in....
I had a similar motor with 3.08 gears. Miniram for the win. Picked up .28 in the 1/4 mile over the aftermarket TPI and did not notice any loss of bottom end. The big win is in the install. The Miniram is very easy to R&R after the first set up.

Stock block
Afr 180 eliminator heads
1.6 rockers
Big mouth base/SLP runners/ported plenum
Comp cam (218/224 @50)
700r4 auto with shift kit
3.73 gears
A1 2400 torque converter
Everything else is stock but in good condition. If the car was manual it would be on the car already but...
Have you ever run this combo on a roller dyno? I'd be interested to see the TQ/HP curve. Was much done to the SLP runners? I assume it's retuned? What's the shift point(s)? Are you willing to redo the tune again?
Because of your gears and the auto, I'd be inclined to say go for it too. After all, an auto kinda MAKES you live in the higher part of the gears when you tromp on it.
It's been mentioned in a round-a-bout way, but you can't beat having better access to the injectors.
I'm not sure about the reusability of the OEM distributor with the MR...but I'm sure you'd need fuel rails and a tune as well. So...the cost isn't JUST the intake.
FWIW...I'd be stronger for your current setup with a manual....So we think opposite in that regard.
With your heads, cam, and gears the MR is hands-down the way to go IMO. That TC will help you be close to the fat part of the torque curve even from a standing start. Do it.
The Miniram works for me but my car is strip only. When it was in the street I ran a SuperRam and was very happy with that. Either should be fine for you.
mini ram... I sometimes run my mostly stock 86 here in Indy drags,. Best time so far in 14:03. I need sticky tires to get into the 13s, way to much tire spin. Keep that in mind.

With that size cam I think your current intake is pretty good as is. And a LT1 conversion intake would give you everything a mini ram intake would for 1/2 the cost?
I had a similar setup in my vette. I had the Dart 180 Iron Eagles heads (ported) and a GM Hot Cam, 2400 stall, 32 lbs. injectors, 3.73 gears. and a LT1 intake conversion. I also had a Super Ram, on the car at different times with a GM 847 cam. The Lt1/MR will have a flat spot in the lower RPMs, but the stall help, get past the flat spot.
I also had a Comp 282 cam I tried with the two intakes. The S/R and Hot Cam was easier to drive around, and ran the best of 12.2s the LT1conv. with GM 847 cam went 11.77, but was a bit much, for me to drive around. That was the deciding factor, to go to and LS.
