Default 85 C4 Temp sending unit wire question

Hello all, My wife and I just recently got our first corvette. It is a black 85 that someone dropped an old school Lt1 motor (1970's) into. Some of the wiring as you can imagine is not hooked up. I am trying to find out what color the wire is that goes to the Temp sending unit on the block. If anyone could tell me and maybe attach a photo you would make my life a lot nicer and easier at the moment. I am trying to keep from having to run an aftermarket temp gauge.
Thank you all
Bobo .

I will try and take a pic tomorrow of the mess that the wiring harness is. Whoever did the swap, took some bad shortcuts.

Sad, the state of some mods. Early '85s were like '84s, using a thermal switch in the right head to control the fan thru a relay, while using a sender for the gauge. Get yourself a FSM. I colored the wires in the wiring diagram to ease the tracing chore.

My highly modified motor essentially used the stock harness, so a replacement SBC forces no reason to hack it up.
