New c4 owner needs help

Recently acquired a 1990 c4 convertible from an estate, but have no idea how to unlock the radio since the the battery had died ages ago. Suggestions. Thx

It is possible that these functions might not work but if you go through these with no results then the information can be taken to a dealer and you could likely obtain the GM BACK-UP CODE for the original. If you try 8 times unsuccessfully it will 'TIME OUT' for an hour and then an additional hour after every 3 tries.

I assumed this is an 'original' radio and not an after-market. If after-market very different by brand.
