Does anyone have any ideas? While replacing my window motor on the passenger side I was taking off the door panel and went to disconnect all the switches. When I went to disconnect the power door lock switch, I must have touched the hot wire and got a little spark. Didn’t think to much about it but when I put all together, the power door locks do not work. I have gone through all the fuses and circuit breakers and all are good. Even the switches on the drivers door aren’t working. If I’m not mistaken, the orange wire is hot all the time. Any ideas where to look?
IIRC the door locks and power seats are on the same circuit breaker in the fuse panel. Won't swear to it, but I think it's the 3d one from the top.
If the power seats work, then it likely is in the switch/door. If both are out then I'd check the circuit breaker. This is all based on my 86.
You are correct on the position of the circuit breaker. I have done a continuity test on all fuses and circuit breakers and the power seats work. There should be power to the switches at all times but I have no power at the switch. All was working fine until I removed the door panel. Took door panel off yesterday to check connections and all is good. Stumped??
