See if any of the icons (maybe data list views?) looks like this....

This is the pop-up screen where you select/play the "recordings" you make....aka datastreams. The ads file is the "template" that lets you view what the computer spits out during recordings. The XDF file provides an overlay to the locations where all the [programmable] parms are stored in the computer.

Notice the "browse" button that lets you select (install) the ADS file. I doubt you'll need to record to see live data (and error codes) but the program has changed a bit since I downloaded my copy in 2010.
