Too long. I pulled it off the road in early December .Just finished .most of the time was gathering $ and parts .was really in no hurry. Changed cam, pushrods, rockers, valve springs, oil pan gasket, water pump. I have another thread showing process

Not an easy task in the LT1...Sounds great!

Any plans to put it on the dyno?

Oh my... that sounds fantastic! Did you do the job with the engine in? Or did you pull the job to get it done? I'd love to install an LT4 hotcam in my 92 but am just a little nervous about the amount of work behind it.

Also, is that with the stock exhaust still installed?

Default Yes

Yes motor in. Also did oil pan gasket. Had to jack motor about 1" to get cam to slide out. I would recommend custom grind cam over hotcam(old technology)by Elliott Portworks.

Yes. I had it dynoed before cam and now will get tuned and re dynoed. Expecting 50whp gain

Gotcha, what is the cost difference? Do you have a build thread or anything like that going through the details? Or was it a pretty straight forward swap as far as following the FSM and just taking your time?

I did the same LE2 build two years ago. The only difference is my cam is 227/234. What injectors, TB? I see in your profile 3.54 gears. I went with 4.10, maybe overdone. What TC? I went with 3000stall. BTW, I like the sound of yours much better than mine. Can you elaborate when you say muffler delete? Do you mean no cats, resonator or mufflers?

Stock TB and injectors, 2800 Protorque, still has cats. Shorty headers, x pipe in place of resonator and LT1 muffler delete pipes .
