As I am building a 396 in the near future in my 88 L-98 , I want to know that the ZZ9X camshaft from TPIS is any good for that setup ?? I am ordering the miniram setup next month and I tought that it will be tought full if I order the ZZ9X for my future setup !! what you think of this camshaft ?? does it work good in a 396 L-98 ??
so the ZZX is more powerfull !!! wich cam you think I should order from TPIS (hydroulic cams) ? now I am thinking ZZX !! or should I wait and buy a better cam from somewhere else !!! what you suggest ??
Here where I live we don`t have emissions !! I was just looking for a cam that in the future I will find it usefull in my engine project when I will built a 396 in my 88 ! as for now I am collecting the parts that I will need for this and when I am ready I will start it !! hopefully next month I will order the TPIS mini ram kit and the camshaft !! my vette is not my daily driver , It`s like a sunday car !! and for the idle and others it dont mater as long as I don`t have any vacum problms !!
ZZX cam are very radical. Checkout tech review section. So far only one person on this forum has used this cam on 396ci LT1 ( Phil LT401). He says still streetable and made very good power. Also per Phil written up on the tech review, The cam ad say 239/239 @05. But when he degreed the cam its actually measured 242/242 @.05

I agree. You might want to look to another company as I have a ZZX cam sitting in my garage that spec'd in very poorly also.
