Default Switch illumination?

I have a 94 auto with dual power sport seats. Question, does the seat controls supposed to be illuminated? If so what bulb does it take . I don’t drive it much at night but my ocd kicks in about things not working the way they were when new.

I don't believe so. I believe the 'mirror flood' is all that's available. If you don't see it in the FSM wiring schematic it ain't.

In the past I believe this question has been asked regarding SRC control and for SRC the cavity for the lighting was there on some years with no bulb but earlier years showed SRC bulb in the wiring schematic. For the SRC it was determined it could be added if desired.

This fellow just bought a seat control package. Reach out and ask him to look at the back-side and see if there's any cavities for lighting. I didn't see any 'gray' wires that would hint it was lit.

At least in my 96 the mirror has a light that shines down onto those controls, the buttons themselves are not back-lit.

Thanks for the kind replies. I thought I was reading the FSM right but I swore I saw pictures of a similar year C4 and he had his back lit. Great now I can scratch that off of my OCD list 😁
