Hi all. I borrow an OTC scanner from my pal on occasion. I would like to get something of my own that doesnt cost a lot. I saw a youtube video where a guy had a old chevy truck and from what I saw it pretty much replicated the "live data" I get from the OTC unit and worked through bluetooth. Does anyone have anything they are impressed with for a decent price? Please clarify the app your using as well as IOS or Android. Maybe even sources for the dongles. Thanks
I do not know but I looked a the link above and it seems that that tool is nothing but a code reader and not a scanner that can show live data. Unless I missed something in the description. All it does is read codes.
As for a scanner...you kinda get what you pay for. They out there and I assume your Corvette is not a 1996...which would require a scanner that can deal with OBDII.
The scanners I have are hand held units and I do not deal with any of the other methods of scanning a car due to I had these before this new technology came out where I can link it to another device. For me it is not needed.
BOSCH, Vetronics, Mastertech are all good brands. I also have an old Snap-On MT2500 that I can still use to read data.
