Default Data logging

I have a cable built for reading and writing my LT1 Firebird PCM. I want to start data logging my corvette and just want to be sure there is nothing missing or different. I remember reading long ago when dealing with an OBD1 port there was a 10k home resistor somewhere in the mix but the LT1 does not require that. Is there any other hardware changes needed to be able to data log?

Found the answer to my own question. From 84-89 the resistor is required. For 90-95 no resistor is required or recommended as it can cause damage.
