I have an 87 corvette automatic. I got it to crank and fire but stalls right after it catches. I've changed the fuel pump relay and a/c control relay or fan relay as it's called. all my gauges come on. sounds like fuel pump is coming on for 2 sec. I get the security light flashing until I close the doors. did i mention I took the ignition lock cylinder out to try and figure out the resistor value. not sure what's going on but I can crank and get it to fire but not run without a resistor and ignition lock cylinder installed. The car will run as long as you feed it starter fluid. any help would be appreciated. I've been all over the forums. maybe I'm missing something.

How's the fuel pressure look while the car is running? Does it drop right after cranking? For the car to start at all the key resistance has to be right, so I doubt that the resistance it wrong unless the car starting shakes the resistor enough that the contact becomes poor.
It wont run unless it has starting fluid sprayed. Itll crank and then catch and then stall. Ive read the car wont crank unless it gets the pellet resistance read well it cranks and it sounds like the pump kicks on for the 2 sec before cranking. But soon is it sounds like it catches it dies right out.

Did you try unplugging the MAF before doing all that to see if it would run?
That and the throttle position sensor too. Right now im using the diagnostic codes to see if i can match up the key pellet resistor. I have 3 left to try.
So thank you to all you corvette gurus that got to my thread as quickly as you did. After researching all the info i could find and test on this c4 finally i got my **** together and tested all the resistors the car starts!!! Thank you thank you again. Hopefully another c4 back on the road.
