Default 1988 C4 L98 TPI: I can't remember what it does

The small exhaust pipe goes that goes over the passenger side valve cover, What does it do? and can it be eliminated? 1988 L98 TPI C4

it feeds exhaust gas into the egr channels.

if your egr has been deleted yes. otherwise no. wrap in header wrap or insulated sock and reinstall

We offer covers for the EGR tubes on the C4 Corvette. Check them out at designengineering.com part numbers are 010387, 010388, 010389. They are listed by length of pipe so a quick measurement may be required. You can purchase them from Corvette Central or Zip Products. Let me know if you have any questions?

It is the EGR tube. You can delete it. Add a blockoff plate on the manifold, weld shut the port on the exhaust manifold (or go with headers which dont have it).

You will then need to either remove the Code 32 and EGR function in the chip, or do the diode trick (run a search) so that you don't get the 32.
