Default '91 Center Console Removal Revisited

Fellow Vetters:

Apparently, hidden under a piece of felt behind the seat switch assembly on some C4s, are three or four hidden screws that must be uncovered before they and the center console can be removed. I just want to know if other '90-'92 owners can confirm this. All the other screws and wires have been removed, but the console won't budge, so I suspect there are hidden screws that I simply didn't know about. By not being able to pull the entire console assembly out so far, my carpet removal and reinstallation project has come to a compkete standstill.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, there are 4 screws under the felt in the center console. Just peel off the felt and it will take the plug caps with it and you will see the screws.

Yep, and the DIC and the Bose stereo head and the center vent and... you name it! Still won't come off.
