A rearwheel steering corvette???
I'am driving my 2nd Vette now(88 red coupe-saddle int.)and have some difficulties with the rear end of the car. When i'am driving around 50-55 and doiing this in D so not in overdrive and i release the throtlle the rear end of the car(left side) seems to be steering to the left. When i excelerate again the car shakes back to the right. This happens when i take my foot of the throtlle and then there is a 1- 2 second period of nothing happening but after these 2 seconds the gearbox slows down the engine and at that time the car is steering to the left.Could this problem be in the front or in the rear end of the car?
I've already displaced my rear upper and lower control rods(bushings) and it did not help at all.
Every bolt and nut are thighend and the rear tie-rods seem to be in perfect condition.
The diff.carrier bushings seem to be OK also and the local corvette shop here in Holland told me that he has NEVER sold any of those bushings before!!!
Maybe for someone this sounds familliar???
Where should i look.........
Shocks or wheelbearings,at the raer or in the front?
Engine mount maybe....
Wheel allignment is OK.
Is there anybody out there who can help me find the solution??
P.S. I hope that i didn't make to many grammatical errors and keep up the good work........I love this forum

I had a similar problem with my 96. Replaced the rear tie-rod ends even though they didn't seem bad but was closing on 100k. Problem gone......Good luck, Randy :seeya
I must say that we checked the tie-rod ends for clearance but we did this just by using are 2 hands.Maybe there is a greater force needed to conclude that they are bad.I can imagine that if they were bad(at least the left one)that it would give a steering reaction because of the way it is mounted on the rear knuckle.
Well it's at least something brainstorming about.
Randy, after replacing the tie-rod ends did the old ones really feel bad or was there no clearance felt but the new ones made all the difference?
Keep posting replys guys....I want this problem solved.
