Default 95 lt1 modification

I have a 95 lt1 that is leaking oil from somewhere on the top rear of the engine. Very slow and the engine must be up to operating temp and run at 2000 rpm for a while to get it started leaking. (Highway driving) I think it might be coming from the back of the intake . My question is regarding the fix. I have a LT4 intake and a set of ported LT4 heads that I have been saving for a stroker build. I also have a set of long tube headers. My question is would I see much gain if I installed these parts without a cam change ? I will have to pull the intake off anyway, and It wouldn't be much more trouble to pull the heads. I assume that I would need a tune for these mods. Anybody done anything similar to this ?

Yes, a ported intake, ported heads and long tube headers will definitely give you a "seat of the pants" notice. A cam will only add to it.

Yes, you will need a tune, especially with a cam.

Thanks for the thoughts. I have a GM hot cam and a stroker crank ( 383 ) , but it would take a lot longer to install it than just the heads and intake. I'm thinking it could come later . Any thoughts on who to have do the tune ?

It should run just fine without a tune. You'll need to transfer the EGR to avoid a code. Might even install 1.6 roller rockers for a little extra lift.
