Just to finish this off - I know it's taken a while.
But with the Callaway TT, there were two additional injectors added for increased fuel that the turbos necessitated.
Anyway, the injectors were clogged up and almost completely blocked.
Cleaned them up and all is good!
I had cleaned the 8 on the engine previously, BUT not these additional two.
Problem solved!

On the Callaway, one is to operate with at least 1/8 tank of fuel, always. You may experience fuel pick up problems at or below this level. Something other than what you had, but wanted mention, also.
My issues were with (not surprisingly) tanks that were at least 1/2 full or more - but I'm thinking the tank level had very little to do with it now.
The condition of the injectors was pretty poor - amazing ANY fuel could get through!
As a matter of interest, do you know (generally speaking) if the two additional injectors add fuel all the time, or just at certain rpm/load/throttle position?
The two addl. injectors only fire when under positive manifold pressure. So they are at rest, other times.
Even though the 87-88 injectors were different than the notorious 89-91 RP (Rochester Products) injectors, all benefit from replacement with a modern injector. I like the Delphi Injectors from FIC. Here's what I've been using in my own cars, and for customer suggestions:
I didn't detect anything resembling a slosh. I think it is because I have the baffle. Now if it were a race situation, I probably will want a tank with a purpose built baffle instead of the stock one. I always run till it is at empty and past reserve.

My Callaway TT needed a 1/4 of of tank. With almost 600rwtq...1st and 2nd gear(if I hooked) would move the fuel away from the pickup enough to make the engine lay down.
