Default Still fighting the idle.....

I've tried to set the idle on my 88 and it won't idle below 1100 rpms. The motor has just been rebuilt with the compu cam 2032 installed w/1.6 rockers. The car runs very well, but the idle problem has be going, any suggestion would be appreciated....

thanks

have you checked the IAC lately...could be carboned up or if it's been apart it could be set incorrecly.

follow the service manual procedure to properly set the IAC. Also check the TPS sensor and verify .54 to .69 volts as rest. If not adjust throttle body set screw and recalibrate IAC procudure following......good luck

Might want to take a look at the TPS as well. Closed= .54v +/- .8v , Open about 4.65v.
