Default E85 - factory gas tank liner compatibility

For those of you that ACTUALLY RUN E85, does it seem to soften up your inner tank liner?

I know there are plenty of people that have read that so and so said it will or won't, so I'm asking for anyone that actually runs an ethanol heavy fuel - do you think it will damage the liner?

I am contemplating a new project, just looking for info.

thanks!

there is no liner to damage - at least on my ‘93.

There are some short rubber hoses at the top of the tank, but i am not worried about them

That's what I thought, although it would be cool if there is.

There is a rubber/plastic something liner in the FACTORY tank, that's what your sump is glued to.

I know some of the replacements do not have them.

I can verify that the early ones DO have it, the last years may not even though listings show the same tank for all years.

..... Same here , I've been running E85 for over 4 years with no signs of trouble … I was in the tank replacing and rewiring the fuel pump last December and saw nothing out of the ordinary …..
