1992 headlights
hello everyone, if I may ask your advice... I have a 1992, and when I turn on the lights the drivers side light only rotates 1/2 way and ends up pointing at the ground.. both lights illuminate and the lids come u.. , the passenger one rotates and rests in the correct position, but the driver side one rotates and stops and faces the ground...
would this be the whole motor or would it be the little plastic gears in the motor.

Most likely the gears since the motor is actively lifting it at least partially open. Can you rotate the headlights all the way open using the manually operated **** or does it only open to the half way point with the ****? That would confirm the gears are partially stripped. Not a bad repair and an easy way to start learning about working on the car.
