LT1 knock module?
can any one please tell me the location of the knock module in a 92 vette and if
the module from a 96 GS will work since installing roller rockers motor is making more noise.

Re: LT1 knock module? (cesar)
i am not sure if it is the same on your '92 as my '94 since the ecm's changed in '94.. but mine is located on the underside of the ecm housing, relatively thin and rectangular in shape, held in by one screw if i remember correctly with a connector flush to the bottom of the ecm housing.
any lt4 knock module should work..
some people confuse this mod/change with the sensors located in the engine block, but it is not a SENSOR change! it is a 'module' change, as in calibrated computer module..
good luck,

It will only help if your current knock module is mistakely interpretting the extra noise from the rr's as knock and thus retarding timing. But you know this already.

The module only works on '94-96 LT1/4 PCM's. Like previously mentioned, it will not do anything different but is less likely to sense "false" knock.
